As New York Fashion Week continues to dominate the talk in the industry, designer John Elliott has added fuel to the fire by showcasing what his label has to offer for fall ’19 with a men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collection — and a pair of John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icons.
Staged at Brooklyn Navy Yard on Saturday, the show featured a minimalist aesthetic with select models wearing gold colorway of the Icon sneaker, complete with gold socks to match. Some famous fans who enjoyed Tequila Don Julio cocktails while checking out the new wares included Patrick Schwarzenegger, Nick Young and Victor Cruz.
The sneakers made their debut last year when LeBron James wore his pair to Game 4 of the Cleveland Cavaliers versus Boston Celtics game at the Eastern Conference Finals series in May. The kicks feature a synthetic upper with striped translucent paneling throughout. It’s equipped with a full-length Air Max cushioning unit similar to the Nike LeBron 8, which was Elliott’s favorite LeBron signature model at the time of designing the shoes.
As for the release, fans can expect this latest version of the John Elliott x Nike LeBron Icon to drop sometime later this year for a retail price of $250.

But that wasn’t the only John Elliott collab that made headlines. At the after-party, it was revealed that luxury car brand Lexus teamed up with the streetwear designer to create bespoke all-white “Sole of the UX” tires inspired by the Nike Air Force 1 shoe.
“The first-ever Lexus UX was engineered and designed for the city,” Lisa Materazzo, Lexus VP of marketing, said in a statement. “We wanted to push that concept even further by creating the ultimate homage to urban style: tires inspired by classic, street-style sneakers.”
