June 26, 2019: Moda Operandi has hired a new managing director to lead its team in China. Ming Yang will serve as the luxury fashion platform’s first employee in the region, growing its Shanghai business and overseeing all business operations in the mainland. She reports directly to CEO Ganesh Srivats. Prior to Moda, she served as managing director for Greater China and APAC at Farfetch.
June 26, 2019: StockX CEO Josh Luber, who co-founded the sneaker marketplace in February 2016, is stepping down from his role. He will continue to serve on the company’s executive leadership team as well as its board of directors, which sees the addition of tech executive Scott Cutler, who has been named StockX’s new chief. Cutler joins the team from eBay, where he served as SVP of the Americas. He was formerly the president of StubHub as well as EVP at the New York Stock Exchange.
June 25, 2019: Keren Craig, co-founder of Marchesa, is leaving the company to pursue new ventures, WWD reports. Craig founded the label, which had a small shoe business, with Georgina Chapman in 2004. Marchesa’s future has been uncertain since rape and sexual misconduct allegations surfaced last year against Chapman’s former husband, Harvey Weinstein.
June 24, 2019: Zadig & Voltaire has named Arnaud Louet its new CFO and deputy CEO. Louet joins the label from Maisons du Monde, a home decoration chain, where he has been financial director since 2014. He was previously CFO of furniture company Conforama.
June 21, 2019: Vanessa LeFebvre, former president of Lord & Taylor, is joining Adidas as SVP of Commercial, the company confirmed today. She will be responsible for defining the brand’s overall commercial strategy in North America, which will include wholesale, owned retail, e-commerce and key cities. She will be based in Portland, Ore., at Adidas’ North America headquarters. She will take the post next month.
June 21, 2019: Tod’s has announced the departure of Andrea Incontri as creative collaborator for the brand’s men’s collections. The Italian designer joined the team in June 2014 and will officially leave his post at the end of the month. As menswear artist director, Incontri presented the brand’s men’s spring ’20 collection last Sunday in Milan. A successor has yet to be appointed.
June 19, 2019: Tapestry Inc. has appointed Joanne Crevoiserat as its new CFO, effective Aug. 1. She joins from Abercrombie & Fitch Co., where she served as EVP and COO from February 2017 to June 2019. Prior to joining Abercrombie & Fitch, she served in a number of senior management roles at Kohl’s Corp. and Walmart. Crevoiserat replaces Kevin Wills, who departed from Tapestry in February 2019. Andrea Shaw Resnick, who has held the position of Interim CFO since that time, will continue as Global Head of Investor Relations and Corporate Communications.
June 19, 2019: After joining the brand in April 2018, Melanie Boulden, Reebok’s VP of marketing, is exiting her post for a new opportunity. Boulden departed Boston-based Reebok on June 14 and will take on a new role at The Coca-Cola Co. in August. Matt Blonder, VP of Global Digital at Reebok, will now also oversee the brand’s marketing function as VP of Marketing and DBC.
June 18, 2019: Under Armour Inc. has appointed Sean Eggert as its new SVP of Global Sports Marketing. Eggert, who joins the brand after 11 years at Red Bull, will report directly to Chief Marketing Officer Alessandro de Pestel.
June 18, 2019: Camper Lab has a new creative director. Finnish-born Achilles Ion Gabriel was tapped to lead the design team and brand communications for the Spanish brand’s experimental range. Previously working for labels Marni and Sunnei, the shoe designer also boasts his own label, Ion, which presents its first collection in January as part of fall 2020. He joins the group just two weeks after Camper’s now ex-creative director, Romain Kremer, exited his post.
June 17, 2019: Kering has named Bartolomeo Rongone as CEO of Bottega Veneta, succeeding Claus-Dietrich Lahrs, who is stepping down for personal reasons, FN’s sister publication WWD reported. Rongone’s appointment is effective Sept. 1. He was previously chief operating officer of Saint Laurent with oversight of ready-to-wear, leather goods and shoes, as well as global retail operations and client engagement. He will report to François-Henri Pinault, chairman and CEO of Kering.
June 14, 2019: Vanessa LeFebvre is stepping down from her role as Lord & Taylor‘s president, announcing her departure yesterday on LinkedIn. It marked the end of her 13-month tenure at the company, which she joined in May 2018 after leaving a VP position at online personal styling service Stitch Fix. LeFebvre — who took the reins from Liz Rodbell — began her career at Lord & Taylor, where she spent 10 years as a buyer and DMM. She went on to senior roles at several retailers including Macy’s, TJX Companies and Daffy’s.
June 14, 2019: Darn Tough Vermont has launched its first-ever role dedicated wholly to sustainability, naming Matthew Jacobs to the post of sustainability manager. He is tasked with leading efforts toward enhancing sustainable practices for the sock manufacturer. Jacobs has previously worked in positions focused on corporate sustainability, strategy, marketing, analytics and operations for a variety of companies in Seattle, New York City and Silicon Valley.
June 12, 2019: Following Mimi Vaughn’s recent promotion to COO, Genesco has appointed a new CFO. Effective June 24, Mel Tucker will take on the executive title as well as the role of SVP of finance. He joins the company with more than 25 years of financial experience at both publicly held and privately owned retail businesses. Most recently, he served as CFO of Century 21 Department Stores, with prior positions at Bass Pro Shops, PetSmart and Circuit City.
June 11, 2019: Nike has tapped Ratnakar Lavu for the role of global chief digital information officer — the first position of its kind at the sportswear giant. Starting June 17, the executive will report to the company’s COO, Eric Sprunk. Lavu previously served as the chief technology and information officer at Kohl’s, leading IT, digital and consumer technology. Prior to Lavu’s position at the department store chain, he worked as the chief technology officer at Redbox.
June 3, 2019: Camper has announced the departure of its first creative director, Romain Kremer. The designer’s exit comes a decade after he joined the Spanish footwear brand. He was named to the post in 2014 after several seasons of working as a consultant with the company, and his fall ’19 collection will mark his last. Camper has yet to name a successor.
