A Closer Look at the Platforms Bella Hadid Wore at the Michael Kors Show

Stomping down the runway in towering platforms is no easy task — just look to Bella Hadid as proof.
The 19-year-old supermodel fell to her knees on Sept. 14 during the Michael Kors Collection runway show at New York Fashion Week wearing a pair of the label’s new soaring sandals — and similar silhouettes were in no shortage on the catwalk for the spring 2017 presentation.
Hadid’s shoe appeared to have a nearly 5-inch heel and 2-inch platform. Still, fellow catwalk queens Joan Smalls, Kendall Jenner and Taylor Hill all averted taking a spill.
Some of the styles incorporated a variety of matching textiles, and notched platform wedges with a peep-toe profile. Among the design features of the footwear are chunky and thin ankle straps, block heels and embellishments such as large buckles and floral ornaments.

The star-studded affair attracted Sienna Miller and Emily Blunt.
And there’s no need to wait to shop the collection. Pieces from the presentation are available on the label’s website, including a similar pair of sky-high platforms that Kendall Jenner showcased down the runway.
