The mood: 24/7 Derek Lam, footwear added versatility to the lineup, allowing pantsuits, coats and dresses to transfer from day to night.
The shoes: Signature stack-heeled mid-calf and tall boots and low-heeled stiletto booties in suede. Key details included mesh cutouts and contrast piping.
The review: New house footwear designer Mariela Montiel made quite a splash last season with laced-up kitten heel booties. While none this season had that same eye-catching élan, her unique touches continue to add charm to Lam’s all-American minimalism.
