Converse is starting the year off strong. The brand, known for its collaborations, has unveiled its first partner for 2016 — the Sex Pistols.
To celebrate the legendary group, the Chuck Taylor All Star Sex Pistols collection for spring ’16 features iconic artwork associated with the punk-rock band, applied through the use of graphic overlays.
Imagery such as the Boredom bus from the 1977 single Pretty Vacant, originally featured on Virgin Records promotional posters, is reappropriated on canvas high-tops. A pair of Converse Chuck Taylor Oxfords come emblazoned with the United Kingdom flag, and perhaps the image most synonymous with the band — the screen print of the Queen — is offered on a pair of high-top Chucks.
Each style in the range comes complete with the Sex Pistols logo on the tongue of the shoe and in the footbed.
The collection is available beginning 7th January at Converse stores, online at converse.com and at selected retailers, with a suggested price of $65 – $80.
