LONDON — A longtime customer of Agent Provocateur, Charlotte Olympia Dellal has finally got her wish of creating a capsule collection of lingerie for the brand as well as a selection of boudoir-inspired shoes.
The founder and designer behind the luxury footwear brand Charlotte Olympia has channeled her love of vintage Hollywood glamour into a collection that includes three lingerie sets and three shoe styles.
The styles incorporate the signatures of both brands, including the Charlotte’s Web motif and Kitty face, and the signature sexy shapes of the AP collections.
During a joint interview with AP’s creative director Sarah Shotton, Dellal said that lingerie and shoes have a world in common. “They’re both technical. They have to fit, and they have to function. They’re very personal, and have the power to make you feel a certain way,” she said.

Shotton said she could think of no other person more suited to designing this particular collection: “Charlotte has the best AP collection I have ever seen. She has a better archive than we do. She was very hands-on during the process, and has amazing taste and style — and understands the brand’s sense of humor.”
Shotton added that she has long borrowed Charlotte Olympia shoes to use for the AP fashion shows and shoots.
Dellal added that for the shoes in particular, it was important the designs could be worn in and out of the bedroom.”
The collection includes “Caught in Charlotte’s Web,” a Fifties-inspired matching set of a bra, high-waisted big underpants with removable suspenders, and the lingerie brand’s Trixie G-string.
The Charlotte’s Web spiderweb design has been re-worked in French embroidery, with Lurex thread on sheer black tulle mesh, with a tattoo effect and spider jewel embellishments.
There is also the “More is More” shoe/stocking hybrid that merges a soft and flexible Lurex stocking with a stiletto-heeled boot. It’s worn like a thigh-high stocking.
Other looks include a leopard teddy in printed stretch silk, and a headscarf, silk satin slippers, bag and feline eye mask. There is also a set of briefs that feature the Charlotte Olympia Kitty face embroidered in gold on black, red and blush satin.
Shotton added it’s the first time that AP has ever done “a box of three knickers. We refer to it as the ménage a trois.” The teddy can also be worn as an outer garment.
Dellal has also created black satin slides featuring a crystal embellished red lip design.
Each piece will feature the Charlotte Olympia Hearts Agent Provocateur logo and the collection will be packaged in a bespoke shoebox and dust bag.
The products will be available to buy on Jan. 18 exclusively at Charlotte Olympia and Agent Provocateur stores, online, and at Net-a-porter.com. Charlotte Olympia will only offer shoes, while the set of three briefs will launch in March.
Prices range from $190 for the set of three satin briefs, to $590 for the Caught in Charlotte’s Web bra, to $790 for the Wild Teddy.
