Dr. Joan Oloff is giving women an insider view into her eponymous fashion-comfort shoe line from Italy. The podiatric surgeon has launched a video where women can get a better understanding of the impact shoes have on their feet — complete with a skeletal view of the foot inside a high-heel pump.
Oloff is not alone in her passion for relieving the pain often associated with high heels. In fact, legendary tennis player Billie Jean King, an early investor in the brand, is spreading the word online with Oloff.
The collection of contemporary looks, introduced in fall ’15, was built on a patent-pending comfort technology that offloads the pressure points in the ball of the foot as well as supports the arch and metatarsal bones. There’s also a shock-absorbing material underfoot that will not break down over time.
Now, Oloff is readying to launch a new modern heel shape for fall ’16 — a pentagon that offers even more stylish stability. It’s available in a range of heights from slightly over 3/8 inches to about 3 1/2 inches.
For fall ’16, Oloff’s collection includes a range of looks, among them tailored pumps and booties, retailing from $340 to $480 for shoes and $600 for tall boots. For those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, Oloff always offers a range of flats.
The line is available at retailers including Harry’s Shoes in New York, Arthur Beren Shoes in San Francisco, and the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas.
