The 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio haven’t begun, but the pro ballers on the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team are already putting on a show against the international competition. Some of the NBA’s best took the court and dominated China and Argentina in the weekend’s exhibition games.
The exhibition schedule tipped off Friday with a 111-74 win over Argentina at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Following the beat down of Argentina was another one-sided victory — a 106-57 win on Sunday over China at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Better than the play of Team USA’s opponents were the kicks the domestic squad wore when hitting the hardwood. Although most of the star-studded team is sponsored by Nike, a few of the players have deals with other brands including Adidas and Anta.
The newest member of the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant, wore a red, white and blue pair of his latest Nike signature shoe, the Zoom KD 9. Also in a red, white and blue iteration of his own Nike signature shoe was Kyrie Irving, who wore the Kyrie 2. Also in Nike — but not wearing signature shoes — were Paul George and DeMarcus Cousins, who wore the Hyperdunk 2016 Flyknit and Hyperdunk 2016, respectively.
Adidas-sponsored athletes Kyle Lowry wore a new silhouette from the brand with three stripes — the Crazylight Boost Low 2016, and Klay Thompson wore a patriotic colorway of his Anta KT.
