After a very thorough roasting on social media for his new Curry Two Low “Chef” sneakers, Stephen Curry hit the court for practice on Wednesday in a less-controversial pair.
The Golden State Warriors star wore a pair of Curry 2.5 Player’s Edition shoes in a black and yellow colorway. These are much less debatable than the “Chef” shoes, which many likened to orthopedic shoes for an older crowd thanks to its all-over white upper with just hints of gray and black.

The first Curry 2.5 shoe dropped in May, and the “73 & 9” colorway, celebrating the Warriors’ record-breaking regular season, is set to hit stores on Saturday. Curry seems to be taking all of the media attention for the “Chef” in stride. Earlier this week he was spotted at practice wearing the shoes with his own handwritten message on the toe.
