Tonight’s matchup between the Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards won’t be short on star power, with two of the NBA’s best guards – Stephen Curry and John Wall – hitting the Oracle Arena court in Oakland, Calif. The game should have its share of superb sneaker moments as well.
This season, Curry has worn some of the most eye-catching colorways of his second signature shoe with Under Armour, the Curry Two, and is sure to do the same in front of his home crowd tonight. In recent games, the Warriors guard has worn the Easter iteration, a tonal blue, gold and white player’s edition, and the “Surprise Party” iteration, among others.
Although Wall is a sneaker free agent, the once Adidas-sponsored athlete has worn some of the most celebrated Air Jordan retro silhouettes of all time, including the Air Jordan 13 and the “French Blue” iteration of the Air Jordan 12. In his last game, a 101-88 Wizards win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday, Wall wore the Air Jordan 17.
Curry and the Warriors are chasing NBA history, looking to top the 72-10 regular season record set by the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. Currently, Golden State sits atop the Western Conference with a 66-7 record. Wall and the Wizards are sitting just outside the Eastern Conference playoffs with a 36-37 record.
