The Golden State Warriors are heading back to the NBA Finals. For the second straight season, two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry led his squad to the promised land, four games away from another title.
The Under Armour-sponsored guard — wearing the Curry Two in tonal blue and white colorway with a yellow outsole — dropped 36 points on the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night in the 96-88 win at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. The guard was 13-of-24 shooting, including 7-of-12 from long range.
Curry also set yet another 3-point shooting record in the win, nailing his 32nd 3-pointer in the series, the most in a seven-game series in league history.
But Curry wasn’t the only Warrior who had a stellar performance Monday night. Klay Thompson — wearing the blue, white and yellow iteration of the Anta KT — scored 21 points on 7-of-19 shooting, including hitting 6-of-11 shots from downtown.
Golden State will once again face LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, which begin Thursday at the Oracle Arena. James and the Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors in six games the Eastern Conference Finals.
