Facing elimination, Stephen Curry led his Golden State Warriors past the Thunder last night at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., sending the series back to Oklahoma City. But the two-time NBA MVP guard put on a solid performance in a shoe that hasn’t seen much playing time in the Western Conference Finals.
Curry dropped 31 points on 9-of-20 shooting Thursday night in the 120-111 win in a tonal blue, yellow and white player’s edition colorway of the Under Armour Curry Two, a change from his 2015-16 NBA Playoffs favorite, the Under Armour Curry 2.5. The guard also grabbed 7 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in the win. On the defensive end, Curry led Golden State with 5 steals.
Although Curry was the team’s leading scorer, he wasn’t the only player with strong offensive numbers last night. Klay Thompson — wearing a blue, yellow and white colorway of his Anta KT signature shoe — scored 27 points on 8-of-21 shooting, including going 2-of-9 from downtown.
Also providing much-needed scoring for Golden State was center Andrew Bogut (wearing the Nike Air Audacity), adding 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting. Marreese Speights came off the bench for the Warriors in the Nike Zoom HyperRev 2016 and scored 14 points.
Golden State will hit the road for Game 6 of the NBA Western Conference Finals to face the Thunder at the Chesapeake Energy Arena tomorrow. Game time is set for 9 p.m. EDT.
