Some of the most desired kicks to sneaker addicts are customs from The Shoe Surgeon and any Adidas Yeezy Boost release. On Friday, a select few will be able to have both — using a bold red monotone color palette — with just one purchase.
In an email to Footwear News, Dominic Chambrone — aka The Shoe Surgeon — confirmed that he would offer five slots to customers looking to have the original gray suede Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 customized in an all-red colorway. The shoes will cost $2,000 to be customized, customers would have to send their original shoes to Chambrone to have them transformed, and it will take at least two months before they’re returned.
A section on theshoesurgeon.com will be dedicated on Friday to customers interested in the red customization.
Chambrone displayed a custom-red Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 he’d created on his Instagram account over the weekend. To date, the image posted Saturday has received 3,026 likes, and the image Sunday received 5,964. The renowned sneaker customizer said in the email that the original custom-red Adidas Yeezy Boost 750 in the images took more than 40 hours to make.
The Shoe Surgeon spoke with Footwear News in December and revealed some of the big names he caters to, his most expensive custom job, and his dislike for making his ever-popular python Jordans.
