NFL star Russell Wilson took some time off the football field to give back to his community on Tuesday. The Seattle Seahawks quarterback visited patients at the Seattle Children’s Hospital with a special gift — his new Nike training sneaker.
The patients were elated with joy to see Wilson, and they were even more excited to be among the early recipients of Wilson’s first Nike shoes for kids. The Nike Flex Show TR 5 RW was officially released on Wednesday.
“I love these babies. Do you see these on me? These look really good on me,” said one patient named Mason. “I don’t know how to thank you. And they’re Nike! My favorite brand.”

Wilson also gave a pair of the Nikes to Avery, a cancer patient who was receiving her first chemotherapy treatment.
Another patient named Hailie got a visit from Wilson just seven days after her heart transplant. “A gift for an angel!” Wilson posted on Instagram.
