Cara Delevingne and Puma have posted several images over social media of the model/actress rocking the brand’s apparel over the past few days, keeping fans guessing if something big between the two was about to happen. The athletic label finally made official what many were thinking.
Puma confirmed in an email with Footwear News on Sept. 19 that Delevingne is a brand ambassador. Although the athletic footwear standout could not reveal details of the deal, it was able to confirm that Delevingne is now aligned with Puma.
Delevingne announced on Instagram that she was helping Puma launch the brand’s upcoming “Do You” marketing campaign dedicated to women, the same day Puma posted Delevingne’s upcoming shoot would be directed by its highest-profile brand ambassador, Rihanna.
Signing the woman who played Enchantress (also known as June Moon in the 2016 film “Suicide Squad”) was the latest of moves Puma has made to bolster its public profile, which has been growing since teaming up with Rihanna. Aside from Rihanna and Delevingne, the brand works with athletes and celebrities including model and social media star Kylie Jenner, rapper Meek Mill, Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt and golf pro Rickie Fowler.
