Odell Beckham Jr. Wore Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles on His Cleats

Odell Beckham Jr. is attempting to stay above controversy, following some bad behavior on the football field.
For Sunday night’s game between his New York Giants and the Green Bay Packers, the wide receiver wore a pair of custom Nike cleats by sneaker customizer Kickasso. Kickasso shared a photo on Instagram of the cleats, which have sketches of Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder on each shoe in black and white, topped off with a red glitter sole. Kickasso captioned the photo, “Ray Charles to the bulls**t,” referencing a line from Lil Wayne’s song “Maybe She Will.”
Beckham has been swept up in some drama in recent weeks thanks to a series of unsportsmanlike conduct calls. He was fined $24,309 for taunting the Minnesota Vikings’ Xavier Rhodes in an Oct. 3 game, and he even knocked over the kicking net on the sideline after getting frustrated with the Washington Redskins’ Josh Norman during a Sept. 25 game.
During warmups for the game against the Packers on Sunday, Beckham wore a pair of cleats also customized by Kickasso depicting anime character Majin Buu. At some point during the game, he changed into a pair of red, blue and silver Nike cleats.

Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Antonio Brown wore a pair of cleats that paid homage to the late golf legend Arnold Palmer. This weekend, the Dallas Cowboys wore pink cleats to honor Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
