Although the NBA All-Star Game is two weeks away, Nike is eager to show you what its sponsored athletes playing in the game will be wearing on the court.
The brand has players with signature product hitting the court of the Air Canada Centre in Toronto including Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and LeBron James, as well as players that wear the latest and greatest team shoes the brand has to offer including Anthony Davis and Paul George. The brand’s line for its all-star ballers, which features five pairs of shoes, is labeled the Nike Basketball Royalty Collection, and arrives in stores on Feb. 11.
The colorway of Bryant’s latest shoe, the Kobe 11 Elite, is a nod to the Northern Lights, featuring a sleek black upper with a hints of green and molded leather detailing on the heel and tongue.
Durant’s KD8 gets a makeover reminiscent the international flags that are seen throughout Toronto with removable patches on its heel and tongue, and an icy winter weather-inspired white and light blue marble graphic on the outsole.
Toronto’s winter inspires the LeBron 13 colorway, using neutral tones like the grey-green on its upper. The shoe is completed with an icy marbled effect on the heels of the outsole. The shoe also boasts pins as a nod to James’s on-court accolades.
The Hyperlive will be on George’s feet, featuring a Canadian red upper. Keeping with the Canadian inspiration, the shoe boasts a maple-inspired gum sole and leaf basketball logo.
Davis will hit the court in a reimagined edition of the Air Audacity. The shoe makes light of his infamous unibrow, with the words “Fear The Brow” printed around each heel. The shoe features a heather textured textile upper and an embroidered crest on its tongue.
