Love for Air Jordan shoes extends well beyond the States. Capitalizing on Michael Jordan’s popularity – and the growing popularity of basketball worldwide – Jordan Brand has opened Asia’s largest Jordan-only store.
The Jordan 8 Wellington store, in Hong Kong’s busy Central District, is the brand’s first store in Asia to use the new design concept it used at the 32 South State Street store in Chicago. The design concept celebrates Jordan’s iconic career through art installations and historical displays.
What’s specific to the Hong Kong storefront? A Jumpman centerpiece by artist Michael Lau connecting Jordan’s legacy to local culture, and the store also features all 30 Air Jordan signature silhouettes.

Members-only offerings are available, including custom T-shirts, jerseys, preregistration to buy Jordan Brand product, and Jordan Flight Camp product education and training services on specified days. Customers can head to the wear-test area to put selected sneakers through basketball drills and moves displayed on a digital wall.
“Jordan Brand always strives to bring the best performance products and services to our consumers in the Greater China region,” said Eric Wei, GM of Jordan Brand Greater China, in a statement. “The opening of Jordan 8 Wellington is a big step forward. We hope to bring this brand-new, premium consumer experience to other cities soon.”
Jordan 8 Wellington is located at 8 Wellington Street, Central, Hong Kong.
