Lacoste is to renew its collaboration with the French National Olympic and Sports Committee for the 2017-20 Olympiad.
It includes the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, and the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. It also includes the 2018 and 2020 Youth Olympic Games, the 2017 Mediterranean Games, the 2017 World Games and the European Youth Olympic Festivals for 2017 and 2019.
French athletes will wear the outfits during opening ceremonies and for medal presentations, for example.
“It is obvious that Lacoste accompanies all the athletes who wear the colors of France,” stated Thierry Guibert, chief executive officer of Lacoste Group.
In the meantime, the Lacoste crocodile logo — revisited in blue, white and red, the colors of the French flag — will make his way onto Team France’s outfits at the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, as reported. This is the second time Lacoste is outfitting the French Olympians, following the winter games in Sochi in 2014.
