Kobe Bryant didn’t play much of the L.A. Lakers’ Wednesday night game against the Denver Nuggets, but he did play a game of another sort with some fans.
While Bryant sat on the bench, he got to talking with some young fans sitting behind him. They wanted to know what Bryant’s dog’s name is, so Bryant gave them clues. According to the Denver Post, Bryant told them that the name has to do with the “Harry Potter” movies.
“So every time, they threw out like 15 names. The deal was if they got it, I’d give them my shoes. And they got it,” he said. The dog’s name is Crucio, one of the three “Unforgivable Curses.”
When one of the young boys guessed it, Bryant took his shoes right off his feet and signed them. Sports blog “The Cauldron” captured Bryant signing his shoes and posted the video on Twitter.

Recently Jordan Brand auctioned off a limited-edition set of 30 styles of Air Jordans in Lakers colors in honor of Bryant. The shoes sold on eBay for nearly $250,000, with proceeds benefitting the Kobe & Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation.
