Kanye West Tells TMZ He Would Turn Down $1 Billion From Nike

Kanye West isn’t letting up when it comes to dissing Nike. The rapper recently released his song “Facts,” which takes aim at Nike, the brand he worked with prior to Adidas.
In the song, West says, “Nike, Nike treat employees just like slaves/Gave LeBron a billi’ not to run away.” The song’s hook, “Yeezy, Yeezy, Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman,” alludes to his sneakers surpassing Air Jordans in popularity.
At the Los Angeles airport on Monday, a TMZ reporter asked West if he would accept $1 billion from Nike.
“That’s a good question,” West said. “It’s not about the money. It’s about the respect. Communication. Adidas is my family.”

The reporter also asked if West would lower the prices of his Yeezy clothing line, which West said he will be doing in the future.
On Friday, West announced that his album “Swish” will drop on Feb. 11, which also marks the first day of New York Fashion Week. West has shown his Yeezy line at the past two New York Fashion Weeks, but there’s no word yet on whether he will show again.
