Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Stephen Curry was on the court for 36 minutes Thursday night, but it was Shaun Livingston coming off the bench to lead the team in scoring in the opening game of the 2016 NBA Finals against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Livingston — wearing the Nike Hyperdunk 2014 — scored 20 points in 26 minutes of play during the 104-89 win at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. During Game 1, Curry (wearing the Under Armour Curry Two) and Klay Thompson (wearing the Anta KT) scored 20 points combined.
Draymond Green led all Golden State starters in scoring with 16 points in 40 minutes of play. The charismatic forward was 5-of-11 from the field — including shooting 2-of-6 from long range — in a white and gold player’s edition of the Nike Zoom HyperRev 2016. The shoe features Green’s “DG” branding on the lateral side ankle, with gold Swoosh branding on the medial side.
The Golden State bench combined for 45 points, including 12 points from Andre Iguodala and 11 points from Leandro Barbosa, who both wore the Nike HyperLive. The Cleveland bench combined for 10 points.
Kyrie Irving — wearing a navy and gold player’s edition of the Nike Kyrie 2 — led the Cavaliers in scoring with 26 points on 7-of-22 shooting.
Game 2 is scheduled for Sunday at 8 p.m. ET at the Oracle Arena.
