NBA great Patrick Ewing hasn’t hit the court in more than a decade, but his sneakers are arguably just as popular in 2016 as they were during his playing days. To satisfy sneakerheads, his Ewing Athletics label is set to deliver its November Retro Collection, as well as a collab with design legend Jeff Staple.
First up is a pair of iterations of the classic 33 HI silhouette, which will be available via shop.ewingathletics.com and on the shelves at the brand’s retail partners on Friday. Both colorways will come with a $120 retail price in men’s sizes 5 to 13, with larger sizes available on ewingathletics.com.
One of iterations of the 33 HI that Ewing Athletics will deliver boasts a red and white color palette, with red occupying much of the upper and white featured from the upper down to the outsole. The other 33 HI drop boasts a gray and white color scheme, with the upper executed in gray and the midsole and outsole in white.
In an email to Footwear News, the brand confirmed that it also has a collaboration on the way with Staple. Today, hints of the collab and a glimpse of the project were spotted on Staple’s personal Instagram account and Staple Design’s profile on the social media platform, respectively. Staple hinted at a Black Friday release date on Instagram with an image of the NBA legend.
