For the past four years, Brooks has put together prior to Global Running Day its Global Run Happy Report, which discovers revelations about runners worldwide. This year’s report uncovered — among other things — what people think about when running, the biggest challenge for women runners, and that no one wants to run with the Kardashians.
“Every year I look forward to the results of our Global Run Happy Report because they bring to life the transformational power of the run,” Anne Cavassa, chief customer experience officer at Brooks, said in a statement today. “I couldn’t agree more that the miles I spend on the running trails are where I do my best thinking. Whether it’s thoughts about work, friends or family, I always return refreshed and ready to tackle the day.”
The report, according to Brooks, largely shows that running rejuvenates creative juices and improves your mood.
Some of the more interesting discoveries from the Global Run Happy Report include that more runners (57 percent) come up with their most creative ideas running versus in the shower (18 percent), that 30 percent of women are most concerned with the lack of support from their sports bra, and only 4 percent of all runners would choose Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian to run a relay race with.
The report could be read in its entirety via Brooks’ blog. Global Running Day will take place June 1.
