West Coast-based retailer Bait is no stranger to doing movie-themed collaborations, having teamed up with Reebok for Ted 2 sneakers and Onitsuka Tiger for two shoes for Bruce Lee (with one inspired by his last film, Game of Death). Its latest movie-themed drop with Diadora is based on a soon-to-be released movie kids are sure to love, Kung Fu Panda 3.
Although the latest DreamWorks film featuring Angelina Jolie, Jack Black, Seth Rogan and Jackie Chan will make its debut in theaters across the country tonight, the Bait x DreamWorks x Diadora S8000 “Kung Fu Panda 3” will be available in Bait locations next month.
The limited edition Bait global exclusive shoe is made in Italy and uses the brand’s S8000 silhouette, which will be a staple in Diadora’s spring ’16 collection. The shoe boasts a simple black and white color palette, featuring a furry black and white upper made of pony hair, a black leather tongue with white Diadora branding, and a black and white sole.
Although the teaser images are available, the drop date and price of the shoe has not yet been released.
According to multiple reports, the first two movies in the Kung Fu Panda franchise have brought in more than $380 million domestically.
