Bait‘s next shoe from its partnership with DreamWorks and Diadora arrives on Saturday. And if you’re in San Diego, you could grab a pair at Comic-Con.
The Bait x Dreamworks x Diadora N9000 “Felix the Cat” — limited to 500 pairs in special co-branded packaging — will be available July 23 and will retail for $220. If you’re not heading to this year’s Comic-Con International: San Diego, you could enter the retailer’s online raffle. The shoe will also be sold in toddler sizes.
The shoe features a simple black and white color palette, with black taking up much of the upper with a white panel midfoot, as well as white highlights and “N9000” branding near the heel. The midsole is white with a portion near the heel boasting black speckles, and is completed with a black outsole. To execute the Felix the Cat design, Bait employs the use of rich velvet suede, tumbled nubuck and Augusta Italian leather.
But Bait isn’t stopping with the shoes as part of its Felix the Cat theme. Pin sets, apparel, hats and collectible figures will also be available in limited quantities to accompany the made-in-Italy shoes.
In April, Bait owner Peng Cheng revealed the store’s partnership with Diadora and DreamWorks exclusively with Footwear News. The collaboration will yield six shoes, including Kung Fu Panda, Where’s Wally (Waldo), Shrek, Felix the Cat, Skeletor, and a Copa América soccer tournament-inspired cleat using Diadora’s classic Brasil ITA OG silhouette.
