APL To Drop Spring ’16 Shoes Throughout Next Week
Athletic Propulsion Labs continues to make inroads in athletics, and has three spring ’16 silhouettes in running and training — both functional and fashionable — that will make their debut in stores into next week, with the final release slated for Thursday.
The spring iteration of the Ascend — APL’s first-ever training shoe — is in stores now and retails for $185. The shoe comes in four colorways: black with a multicolor print; cosmic gray and metallic silver; red and metallic silver; and eggshell, faded denim and burgundy. It features a full-length honeycomb mesh upper with minimal overlays, and the brand’s proprietary Propelium midsole and outsole.

Arriving on Tuesday is the spring version of the TechLoom Pro — arguably the brand’s most celebrated sneaker — which will retail for $140 and $160 for the metallic iterations. The running shoe features a one-piece woven upper and the label’s Propelium midsole and outsole. Colorways will include birch and taupe; sky and midnight; white, midnight and sky; and white, silver and gold.
Arriving Thursday is the Prism, another running option from APL, with a $195 retail price. The shoe features 360 degrees of reflectivity, a full-length internal bootie, a breathable mesh shell, a two-piece construction for flexibility and comfort — and as with the other spring release, a Propelium midsole and outsole. The Prism will be available in three colorways: black, white and energy; white, rose and energy; and white, rose and haze.
