Adidas has enjoyed success with its Boost midsole, found on various silhouettes including running shoes and Yeezys.
Now the brand is stepping things up by offering up the usually white sole in colors for a tonal look. In addition to a pair with a white upper and the white midsole, there’s a black pair with a black midsole and a red pair with a red midsole.
“The introduction of Boost with color reflects our dedication to identifying and understanding exactly what our consumers want and to push the boundaries of aesthetic design,” said Ben Herath, vice president of design for Adidas Running. “Boost is an industry-leading innovation that will now be available in a style that matches the elite standard of its performance.”
The Ultra Boost Uncaged, first released June 29, is a follow-up to the brand’s popular Ultra Boost silhouette. This time around, Adidas did away with the caging on the shoe’s upper, now relying solely on an internal midfoot skeleton developed for its top-sponsored track athletes.
The three colorways will be available on Saturday in Adidas stores and online.
