Since dropping the Ultra Boost last year, Adidas has released the shoe several times with various updates, including color changes and the most recent Uncaged iteration. The latest edition allows its wearers to take them off-road.
The Adidas Ultra Boost ATR is available now and can be purchased on adidas.com. Retail price for the shoe is $180.
The latest Ultra Boost is a max-cushioned, all-terrain running shoe for men, highlighted by its acclaimed energy-returning Boost midsole. Just like with its previous Ultra Boost releases, Adidas paired the popular midsole with another one of its acclaimed technologies on the shoe’s upper: Primeknit. The upper features the breathable material, which also gives the shoe a socklike fit. And as with past Ultra Boost releases, the ATR features a Continental Rubber outsole.
What makes this shoe vastly different from past releases is the added waterline layer and mudguard, which provide additional protection when running in wet conditions.
The initial drop of the shoe comes in men’s sizing only and one colorway: a mostly black shoe with a white midsole and a black outsole. The predominantly black upper also features gray on the toe cap.
