See How Adidas Originals Reinvented Its NMD Silhouette

Nearly a year after Adidas Originals introduced the NMD_R1 silhouette, the brand will drop the NMD_R2.

The NMD_R2 is a new take on the sell-out silhouette, which has seen countless iterations and color schemes since the initial release. According to Adidas, the NMD‘s original “discipline of form, function and unparalleled style” remains, but with updates to the Boost midsole and EVA plugs. 

The first NMD_R2 release is done in a Primeknit upper with what Adidas calls a “Shadow Noise” motif and tonal three stripes.

In addition to the NMD_R1, Adidas has also issued the NMD City Sock, the NMD_XR1 and an NMD collaboration with Pharrell Williams, the Hu NMD.

The NMD_R2 will be released globally on Dec. 3.
