Adidas is celebrating the opening of its latest New York store in a big way with exclusive customizable sneakers, early releases and restocks of rare collaborations.
Confirmed for the Thursday opening of Adidas’ four-story flagship at 565 Fifth Ave. are a handful of notable launches including the highly anticipated “Triple Black” Ultra Boost, the “Pioneer” colorway of James Harden’s Harden Vol. 1 signature sneaker, and a second chance at the Ultra Boost Uncaged Parley, the eco-friendly sneaker composed of 95 percent ocean plastic.
In addition to the early releases and restocks, perhaps the most exciting part of the store’s opening is that it will offer customizable Ultra Boosts powered by the brand’s MiAdidas platform. Details are scarce, but Adidas is teasing NYC-exclusive colorways and options for the big event. Unfortunately, there’s no confirmation on whether or not the customizable Ultra Boosts will be offered outside of the New York store opening.
While the Harden Vol. 1 and Ultra Boost Uncaged Parley sneakers will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, the “Triple Black” Ultra Boost will be available exclusively through the Adidas Confirmed app beginning Thursday.
