Sportswear giant Adidas is laying the foundation for its growth.
The global brand on Wednesday announced plans to expand its World of Sports headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany, with two new stylish and sustainable buildings that will accommodate more than 2,000 employees.
Adidas Group CEO Herbert Hainer said in a statement that the new facilities are imperative for the company’s “long-term success.”
“Our employees are at the very heart of this company, and our clear goal for the World of Sports is to create the most attractive workplaces in order to continue to attract top talents from all over the world to Herzogenaurach,” Hainer explained.

The new buildings will feature office space, an events hall and an employee restaurant. “Arena,” an office area, will be designed like a stadium, and the “HalfTime” building will host events.
The project is scheduled to be completed around the end of 2018.
At the foundation stone laying ceremony, guests were able to view the planned building via 3-D glasses.
