As if Yeezys aren’t already hard enough to get your hands on, now they’re requiring one to pony up some serious cash. On Tuesday, a size 9.5 pair of Yeezy Boost 350s in black—new with the receipt and in the box—sold for $10,100 on eBay.
The starting price on March 10 was $225. There were no bids until March 13, the first being $238. Bids continued to steadily climb in the following hours and days. After a bid of $2,500 on March 13, another bidder jumped in and bid $10,000. The final bid on Tuesday was $10,1000.
Clearly, this bidder wasn’t going to walk away without this pair. Currently, the most expensive listing for the black 350s is $5,000, while lower listings sit in the $200–300 range. The shoes normally retail for $200 a pair in stores.
The black 350s were re-released on Feb. 19. Earlier this week, Adidas Originals tweeted that there would not be a Yeezy release in March, despite some speculation.

Kanye West said on Twitter last week that Adidas would be making a million pairs of Yeezys in 2016 and that he is working on improving the Yeezy site with Robin Nowicki of digital product studio Us Two. West also said he’d be improving the quality of Yeezy products at half the price of last year’s releases.
