Sarah Jessica Parker is celebrating her SJP Collection for spring ’17. The designer attended an event in New York City on Wednesday, when she showcased the line herself while donning the Tartt Mary Janes from her line in a purple sparkly hue.
This season, Parker turned to a number of delicate details, including glitter, metallics, bows, mesh and ankle embellishments.
“We have our established shapes and silhouettes so now we are experimenting a lot with materials,” she told FN at the event. “And we’re sticking to what I really believe in, which is a classic single sole that I just find so beautiful.”
Outside of the single sole pump, the designer incorporated flats, slides, sandals and updated the Carrie style into a hybrid sneaker with a white bottom.

Parker also expressed the importance of highlighting looks that she is passionate about for her consumers.
“I’ve finally convinced people to not be afraid of satin shoes. They don’t have to be just for evening or special occasions,” she said. “Last season, I said I had a really strong suspicion that women would go for the bright pink, and I was right. We can’t keep shoes in that color in stock. They just have his irresistible pop. As does our new violet hue.”
As for the style she is wearing most frequently, a few options come to mind.
“I have to say, while I still love the Fawn [pointed pump], there is something about the Rampling [straight vamp pump] that I am just drawn to right now. It’s a great, sharp line.”
The actress also recently returned to TV, debuting her new show on HBO, “Divorce.”
“The show just keeps getting better and better. You have to keep watching,” she said. “We really delve deep into these dark issues, but with humor.”
