Michelle Obama — a loyal fan of Jimmy Choo — wore the British brand today for lunch with Queen Elizabeth II, who turned 90 on Thursday amid much fanfare.
The first lady accompanied President Obama to Windsor Castle as part of the U.S. leader’s three-day London trip. She wore Jimmy Choo‘s “Aza” black patent pumps with an embellished lace purple dress by Oscar de la Renta dress to dine with the queen and Prince Philip. Earlier, Obama stepped off the plane with her husband in a Narcisco Rodriguez wool coat that completed her look.
Today’s lunch marked a big moment for both couples. Besides being part of the queen’s birthday celebrations, the event is also part of Obama’s last official visit to London.
Prince Philip, 94, drove the Obamas (and his wife) to the castle after the president’s plane landed on Windsor’s grounds.

Tonight, the Obamas head to Kensington Palace for a special dinner hosted by Kate Middleton, Prince William and Prince Harry. When the first lady first met the Duchess of Cambridge in 2011, Obama chose another famed British designer, Manolo Blahnik, for the occasion. Middleton, meanwhile, wore L.K. Bennett, one of her favorite brands, for the event.
