Kate Middleton Wears Rupert Sanderson Pumps For Commonwealth Day Service

Kate Middleton has had a busy few weeks in London, and today the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out again with her family, this time to attend the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey.

Middleton wore a printed Erdem coat with gray Rupert Sanderson “Winona” pumps for the outing. She completed her outfit with a large hat designed by milliner John Boyd.

The young royal was accompanied by husband Prince William, brother-in-law Harry and, of course, Queen Elizabeth. Prince Andrew also attended the service, which celebrated the commonwealth’s message of inclusivity.

“I am honored. The shoes looked wonderful with [the Duchess’] beautiful gray coat,” Sanderson told FN on Monday. “It is a nice and privileged thing to quietly be able to do, to make a pair of shoes for the future queen of England. She looked fantastic striding into Westminster Abbey with her husband and brother-in-law on either side.”

This marks the second time Middleton has donned the designer’s pumps this year. She stepped out in Sanderson’s navy suede “Malory” pumps last month for her first official outing of 2016.

For that occasion, The Duchess of Cambridge paired the Sanderson style with a pale blue bespoke Alexander McQueen coat and a Lock & Co. hat for festivities to mark the 75th anniversary of the RAF Air Cadets in London. She attended a service at London’s RAF church and met with cadets to mark the occasion.

During last year’s Commonwealth Day service, the Duchess chose a soft pink pearl-button coat by Alexander McQueen and matching hat. She also donned pink satin Prada heels that day.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Middleton wore a checked skirt suit and Gianvito Rossi black suede pumps to promote mental health awareness.
