Disappointed fans who were planning to see Kanye West in concert Sunday during the rained-out Governors Ball at Randall’s Island Park in New York got a welcome surprise when West announced that he would be putting on a concert Monday at 2 a.m. at Webster Hall in Manhattan.
Thousands poured into the streets attempting to get into the venue. Webster Hall later announced on its Twitter that there would not be a concert there.
On Sunday evening, West did make an appearance at the Hot 97 Summer Jam concert at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. He performed his new song from his upcoming album, “Cruel Winter,” with 2 Chainz, Desiigner, Big Sean, Travis Scott and Pusha T, who all wore the soon-to-be-released light grey Yeezy Boost 750s.
