Francesco Russo has unveiled an exclusive gold sandal that was inspired by the Cannes Film Festival in France.
“It’s a tribute to the most prestigious prize of the Cannes Film Festival,” Russo told FN, referring to the gold-and-crystal Palme d’Or trophy. “We took one of our current styles from spring ’16 and we turned it completely in gold. I like the idea of customization and for my clients to feel something special.”
The style is retailing at the brand’s rue de Valois Paris store for $920.
“Whenever you have the chance of buying something that is limited, it’s an opportunity to add to your wardrobe,” added Russo.
Russo hopes to add this shoe to his next collection.
“I’m thinking about having this model and material in a coming season; it’s something that customers like very much,” he said.
The designer added that he’s looking forward to seeing theWoody Allen film “Cafe Society,” starring Blake Lively, Kristen Stewart and Jesse Eisenberg.
