The mood: The Blonde Salad turns cowgirl. Or, as she might state it on social media #TheBlondeSaladGoesWest
The shoes: While her same winky go-go boots, platforms and sneakers were prevalent, Chiara Ferragni herself was ensconced in a booth at the historic Williams stripclub surrounded by her latest obsession: western boots.
“It was about time that I designed something more cowboy,” she said. “I love the idea of dessert road trips and I’ve always worn cowboy pants and shirts. I had cowboy boots, but nothing quite like this,” Ferragni said of the assortment, which included metallic takes on western signatures and even an over the knee wader version, which she had on herself. “These are my very favorite piece. I’ve never seen something like this so far.”
The verdict: #AmericanDays have served Ferragni’s creativity well. She also moved factories for production of the western styles, which looked to improve quality too. With a personal brand – now footwear brand – as big as hers is, the more eyes (and clicks) on her, the more an attention to detail is required.
