The Mood: Flash and conceal. An often-vampy brand identity continued here with über-miniskirts and low-cut tops, but were paired with more covered pieces like double-breasted blazers and skinny latex trousers.
The Shoes: The idea of coverage continued via stiletto sandals paired with black socks. White and black leather sandals had lacing at the ankle but were kept relatively minimal overall. Black pumps had a single diagonal strap covering the foot. Pointy white pumps had a minuscule steel toe detail.
The Verdict: With rumors swirling that Vaccarello could replace Hedi Slimane at Saint Laurent — though the brand has continuously denied Slimane’s departure — the designer could use a new side gig to kick-start his creative juices. It seems his namesake label is trapped in sameness, though there were attempts at moving away from his more va-va-voom collections.
