Padma Lakshmi Shares Her Favorite Shoe Designers and ‘Top Chef’ Style
While Padma Lakshmi is known for her food expertise and being a judge on “Top Chef,” she also has great taste in shoe designers.
“I love Gianvito Rossi and, of course, Sergio Rossi,” she told Footwear News at the amfAR Gala in New York City last month. “Those are the ones I wear. But Fendi has great shoes, too. I pretty much like the Italian shoemakers!”
Lakshmi is also fan of Stuart Weitzman. Her favorite styles include the ever-popular Nudist sandal and the brand’s 5050 boot.
When it comes to her style on Bravo’s Emmy Award-winning show “Top Chef,” many options come from Lakshmi’s own closet. She added, “I have a really talented wizard who does my clothes on the tiniest budget and he does a great job. We do fittings, and I say ‘yes’ or ‘no.’ “

Between the quick fires and elimination challenges, “Top Chef” fans know how much food is actually being eaten by the judges. “I have clothes in three sizes on the show because I can gain weight,” said Lakshmi. “If I’m a 4 now, I definitely go up to an 8 or 10 if you think about how much we are eating.”
“Top Chef” is currently in its 13th season, and Lakshmi is in the midst of a book tour for her memoir “Love, Lost, and What We Ate.”
