Donald Trump was elected the 45th president of the United States, with Hillary Clinton conceding to the Republican nominee early this morning. Many celebrities had been outspoken about their support for Clinton, who had hoped to become the first female U.S. president. Lady Gaga, Lena Dunham, Katy Perry, Kenneth Cole, Diane von Furstenberg and others had declared their support for the Democratic nominee. While Trump did speak early this morning, Clinton has not made an address yet, but is expected to this morning.
Some celebrities and fashion industry members have already shared their reaction to the results.
