Lady Gaga Pulls Off Those Crazy Marc Jacobs Spring ’17 Platforms

Leave it to Lady Gaga to make walking in insanely high platform boots look easy.

The singer was spotted in New York on Thursday wearing a very Gaga outfit: a blue sequined jacket-and-pants combo, a floppy pink hat and Marc Jacobs spring ’17 rainbow platform boots.

The boots were the talk of New York Fashion Week when they appeared on Jacobs’ runway on the feet of top models including Karlie Kloss, Kendall Jenner, Gigi Hadid and Taylor Hill. Jacobs offered the dramatic boots in groovy patchwork leather, sparkly metallic and some with colorful crystal embellishment.

Gaga opted for a pink and purple pair with a rainbow of crystal stripes on the staggering 8-inch platform.

Gaga is, of course, known for her wild choices in footwear — remember when she almost exclusively wore heel-less shoes? Her extensive practice walking in gravity-defying shoes has surely prepared her to walk in Jacobs’ 8-inch shoes. She even appeared in Jacobs’ fall ’16 runway show in February wearing a similarly high pair of platforms, and then proceeded to head back to her hotel wearing them.
