Lady Gaga channeled a softer side for her anticipated “Million Reasons” music video, which launched today on YouTube. It’s only the second video to be released off “Joanne,” her fifth studio album, so fans were patiently waiting for the drop.
The video starts right where “Perfect Illusion,” the album’s lead single and first video, left off. This time around, Gaga traded in her combat boots and mosh-pit environment for a pair of pink Christian Louboutin heels and an introspective setting. The guitar-playing pop star paired the stilettos with her pink “Joanne”-themed ensemble.
Gaga described the music video as a story and a personal look into her life that can help establish a personal connection with her fans. “I wanted these videos to be a story about my life not just visuals to match my music. This is a much deeper look into who I am and where I am going,” she said in a “Instagram Stories” takeover for MTV.
We’ve seen Gaga in these Louboutins before. Just a day after her album’s release, the singer was spotted in the pink look in New York City as she made her way to “Good Morning America” to promote “Joanne.”
