Kim Kardashian West has been out and about at Paris Fashion Week in full force — and the star wore a pair of sandals from Nicholas Kirkwood’s spring ’17 collection on Thursday.
The Ziggy style was on display at Kirkwood’s Paris presentation today in other hues, including sand and red. The color theme was reflective of the British designer’s Arizona-inspired collection and presentation, where shoes were positioned on innovative rock displays and the floor resembled the desert.
“I went to Arizona over Christmas and New Year’s. It has incredible landscape. I loved the red in the sky and all of the colors everywhere,” said the designer, who was particularly enthralled with all of the cactus forests in the region.
In fitting with the inspiration, the collection included suede and mesh sandals with cactus-flower embroidery and clear Perspex heels with color accents that depicted sunsets. Metallics and patent played heavily across the assortment. The designer’s signature pearl accent was also incorporated in a number of fresh styles, including brogues.
Meanwhile, Kirkwood hinted at a major collaboration in the works for early next year, but he was mum on the details.
