Blake Lively Brings Christian Louboutin As Her Date For Cannes Opening Ceremony

Blake Lively is one lucky lady. Not only does she have a closet filled with the most coveted Christian Louboutin heels, she also had the French designer on her arm at the Cannes Film Festival Opening Ceremony on Wednesday.
Lively stunned in a beaded Versace gown paired with gold Louboutin Benedetta sandals. She teased her followers on Instagram with a photo of her feet and Louboutin’s feet and wrote, “Who was my handsome date you ask?”

Lively then shared an adorable selfie of her and Louboutin on the red carpet.

The actress and Louboutin have been friends for years. In 2010, Lively presented Louboutin with the Footwear News Person of the Year Award at the FN Achievement Awards.

“I own so many of his shoes that I should be institutionalized. His light and sparkle are even more incredible than his stunning crystal Pigalle pumps,” said Lively at the time. “[If] you ask me, they are heartbreakingly perfect. See — I do have a problem.”
Earlier this year, Lively hit Louboutin’s New York boutique for a shopping spree.

Lively has already worn several outfits at the glitzy festival in the South of France. At a photo call, both she and her “Café Society” co-star Kristen Stewart wore Louboutin heels. For the opening ceremony dinner, she wore a black Salvatore Ferragamo dress with a feathered hem and sleeves and Louboutin mesh pumps. On Thursday morning, she stepped out in a canary yellow silk Valentino dress and Jimmy Choo Hesper sandals.
