Beyoncé Knowles suited up in Dsquared2 in homage to Michael Jackson’s bandleader style for the Super Bowl 50 halftime show, but it was her boots that really allowed her to move like the King of Pop.
She performed for an audience of tens of millions wearing Christian Louboutin’s Country Crochet boots.
The black leather boots with silver hook-and-closure hardware details have a lug sole and thick stacked 70mm heel. The sturdy construction not only finished her snug ensemble nicely, but were sturdy enough for field-side dancing and stage frolicking with co-performers Bruno Mars and Coldplay.
They are from Christian Louboutin’s fall ’16 collection and retail for $1295.
Following the halftime show and debut of Beyoncé’s new song Formation, they quickly sold out on luxury e-commerce site Net-a-Porter.

The statement boots, which were paired with fishnets and black thigh-bands, complemented Bruno Mars’ retro Nike Cortez sneakers, which were also black and metallic.
Beyoncé’s other dancers also wore black cropped boots, but alas, theirs did not boast that tell-tale siren red sole. Only Queen Bey got to wear Christian Louboutin tonight.
