Last month, Jordan Brand presented Kobe Bryant with a full set of the complete Air Jordan line during his final NBA All-Star Weekend.
Included in the set were purple-and-gold versions of the Air Jordan III and Air Jordan VIII — the two shoes that Bryant wore during the 2002-03 season, when he was a free sneaker agent.
Bryant kept the white set of the Air Jordan line, but the black set was auctioned on eBay in February to benefit the Kobe and Vanessa Bryant Family Foundation, eventually selling for $240,100.
The Air Jordan III and Air Jordan VIII, which was thought to be made only for Bryant, turned up on Snapchat from none other than DJ Khaled.
The music mogul, who’s famous for his positive Snapchat videos, posted an unveiling of the Kobe Bryant Air Jordan 3s and 8s.

In the video clip, DJ Khaled gave an up-close and personal showing of the purple-and-gold versions of the Air Jordan III and Air Jordan VIII in the white colorway.
“You see this right! I’m [going to] wear these on [Jimmy] Kimmel,” he said in the video.
Whether these Kobe Bryant player-edition Air Jordans ever go public remains unknown.
