New York Fashion Week: Statement Street-Style Shoes From Years Past

The whirlwind that is New York Fashion Week is fast approaching. Invitations have been sent, venues have been chosen and killer outfits are ready. To celebrate, Footwear News is highlighting the best street-style looks from years past.
There are always a handful of shoe styles that are go-to’s for fashion’s elite: Valentino’s Rockstud heels, Jeremy Scott x Adidas winged sneakers and Stella McCartney’s Elyse laceup wedge.
This year, we’ll have our eyes peeled for one pair of sneakers in particular — the black Adidas Yeezy Boost 350. After the shoes sold out last month, only a few lucky people own a pair. We’ve yet to hear whether Kanye West will again offer a Kanye West x Adidas Originals presentation.

New York Fashion Week will run from Sept. 10-17 at three main locations: Skylight at Moynihan Station, Skylight at Clarkson Sq. and Milk Studios. Major designers presenting include Derek Lam, Alexander Wang, Ralph Lauren, DKNY, Public School and more.
