Unsurprisingly, the spring ’16 New York Fashion Week circuit resulted in a number of eye-catching street style shots for one to take in. Showgoers put their best feet forward this week, opting for designer shoes that just happened to be hot off the market.
Ultra-trendy footwear included the latest spring ’15 styles, from Proenza Schouler’s mule sandals to Stella McCartney’s flatform lace-up sneakers. Each attendee styled the shoe to their own taste here, from flashy look-at-me getups to more minimal looks.
Gucci’s fur-lined loafers and clogs were undoubtedly the season’s hottest street style shoe, a somewhat comical choice given the temperatures were still more summery than fall. It seems some shoes are so exciting that people cannot wait to wear them.
In terms of popular styles, the lace-up strappy sandal proved to be hottest trend in street style. It was styled with skirts, or peaked out at the bottom of trousers.
Of course, classic shoes made an appearance as well. We spotted Chanel’s classic toe-cap sling backs on the feet of many chic women—proving that if a shoe ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
